NPA Life: Uniforms

All students are required to purchase and wear NPA screened navy mesh shorts and coordinating gray crew neck t-shirts from the school for physical activity. Parents must come in on appointed days to pay for and have their student fitted for this uniform.
Special Considerations:
- Fieldtrips – Students leaving campus will be required to dress according to uniform dress choice (formal, daily, PE) as assigned by his/her classroom teacher. Students not appropriately dressed will remain on campus. All students must ride on a school – designated vehicle or with their own parents.
- Hair (boys) – Hair should not touch the collar of a regular sports shirt in the back nor should it be long enough to “curl up” in the back. Long hair tucked behind the ears is not acceptable. The hair in the front should not touch the eyebrows when in a normal wearing position. Hair should be conservative and attractively groomed. Sideburns must be cut no lower than the bottom of the ear. Students are to be clean shaven each day.
(Girls) – Hair should be conservative and attractively groomed. No extreme hair colors are permitted. - Unacceptable Attire for All Students
- Earrings (boys) or distracting/symbolic (anti-Christian) jewelry
- Excessive make-up (gothic, etc.)
- Body piercing or tattoos
- Winter Wear: Students may wear solid navy or solid white turtle neck shirts under their uniforms during the winter months for added warmth. Also, students may purchase any style Buckhead uniform sweater or jacket (with monogram) in navy. Students will not be permitted to wear any non-uniform jacket or sweater on campus. All gloves, hats, or scarves must be immediately removed upon entering the school building and may not be worn throughout the day.
- Requested Parent Dress – When attending school functions such as fieldtrips, extracurricular programs, class parties, etc, please take into consideration NPA’s dress policy which emphasizes modesty in appearance.
UNIFORM VIOLATIONS
Parents should understand that it is their responsibility to have their child in proper school attire (in accordance with dress code). If your child is not dressed properly:
First Offense: a note will be sent home
Second Offense: a phone call to parent
Third Offense: Parent will be required to come to school with appropriate clothing. This would include missing clothing (i.e. socks, belts, etc.) or clothing not purchased from Buckhead Uniforms.
Exceptions to these rules can be made only by school administrators. The administration is the final authority in all dress and grooming matters.
